Pastors & Elders:

New City is led by a plurality of pastors and elders. These men are called, biblically qualified (1 Tim., Titus 1, 1 Peter 5, Acts 20), and affirmed by our church. The pastors and elders oversee the spiritual life, health, and doctrine of the church; ensuring the gospel is being preached inside and outside New City, our community is being cared for, and encouraging the congregation towards hope in Jesus for all of life.

Jimmy Black

Pastor of Worship & Arts

Jimmy and his wife Kourtney share a passion for worship and helping people express their love for God in music and the arts. They have two beautiful children together and have been a part of New City since 2022. Jimmy took on his current role as Pastor of Worship & Arts in Summer 2024.

Matt Rodgers

Pastor of Preaching & Vision

Matt has served churches as a worship leader and pastor for a dozen years. He and his wife Victoria have four children and have served the local church in a variety of capacities over the years. Matt joined the staff of New City in the beginning of 2022 and stepped into his new role as Pastor of Preaching & Vision in the Summer of 2024.

Scott MacDougall

Pastor of Discipleship & Community Engagement

Scott MacDougall and his wife Sarah, and their two children, helped start New City in 2010. Scott has served as an elder, City Group leader, and a staff pastor at another church. Scott joined the staff of New City full time in early 2022.

Deacons

Deacons, like elders, are called, biblically qualified, and affirmed by our church (1 Tim. 3, Phil. 1:1, Acts 6). Our deacons work with the elders to serve the congregation in stewardship, justice, and practical ministry. These men oversee the benevolence needs of our church and community. They also promote justice, generosity, and stewardship in all of life.

CITY Group Leaders

Our CITY Group leaders serve under the oversight and care of the elders to encourage, shepherd, and care for the people of New City. These leaders open up their homes and lives to promote the spiritual health and everyday gospel mission of our congregation.

New City Kids

Our children's ministry serves our church family with Sunday morning ministry and other learning and outreach opportunities. New City Kids serves ages infant - 6th grade.
