“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” -Psalm 46:1
With growing concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and confirmed cases in Missouri, Kansas, Johnson, and Jackson counties, we want to let you know how New City Church is responding.
Our leadership doesn’t take any of this lightly. We have met with medical professionals and other community leaders in our area, and around the globe, to carefully and continually monitor the situation. As information develops and evolves, we’ll use this page to keep you updated. Please note, we are committed to doing everything we can, by God’s grace, to create a healthy environment for our community, and broader city.
Sunday Morning Gatherings at 10 AM
New City Gathers In-Person & Online @ 10 AM, Sunday Mornings, For Worship, Teaching, Reflection, And Prayer.
We are making every effort to make our building safe for services, including extra space between chairs for social distancing, multiple gathering spaces in the building for viewing services, no childcare (kids can sit with parents in the main sanctuary or in one of our gathering spaces around the building. We are also providing activity bags for all kids), deep cleaned building before and after services, and we will provide masks, hand sanitizer, soap, and sanitized wipes.
We will also continue to gather online. Our service will be streamed @ 10 AM every Sunday. If you are not able to be with us in-person, then please join us on Facebook or YouTube.
Finally, if you haven’t already, please sign up for Church Community Builder (CCB) at newcitykc.org/ccb with your email address and phone number, so that we can send you updates as our situation changes. We will also be posting updates on our Facebook page.

How can I continue to give to New City Church while we are not gathering for services?
You can continue to faithfully give financially online, CCB, or by mail so that the ministry of New City Church thrives all the more in the midst of difficult days.
If you prefer to give by mail, you can:
Make payable to “New City Church” and mail to:
New City Church ATTN: Deacons
8711 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO, 64114
You can also drop a check at the offices during business hours 8-5 PM M-F. Please drop in mail slot at south doors.
What else can I do?
Pray for healing of those infected, strength and endurance for medical professionals, insight for researchers, and wisdom for city and government officials. Look for opportunities to love and care for others with the love that Christ has shown to us.
Even if we’re unable to gather at certain times or as a full church body, stay connected to the church family through calls, notes, or texts, gather with small groups as appropriate, and engage with online content if no other option is available. Pray for and encourage one another.
God is our refuge and strength!
